We bought this mare a short time ago, husband just had to have her. She is a bit to young for "US". We're totally new to driving draft type horses, and really should have started with something more seasoned. (Don't tell my husband I said this.......but if he'd have listened to his wife, that's what we would have done!)

She is a wonderful mare, easy to get along with on the ground, laid back in the fence, and just needs someone more experienced than us to grow with her. She is trained to drive, and she does ride. She was broke to ride and drive by the amish, but being young she would do better with an experienced handler.

Current on worming, and just had her hooves trimmed this week. My son, age 20; just started his own little business on the side. He is offering services for those looking for "riding time" we have had plenty of calls in the past for good broke horses needing riding time. He is offering 2-4 hours a day in strictly riding and handling. There will be no ground training so only respond if you have a horse that is already broke to ride. He is charging $75 per week. This fee will include 2-4 hours of riding per day, daily turn out to confined arena, stalled nightly, all feed and grooming. My son is deaf and my wife will interpret all calls or personal meetings.


**If your horse needs a trim while its here, $25 extra; nothing corrective.

It is situated next to a gravel county road but no other driveways are on this stretch of road, so traffic is very limited. The paved county road (22) that gets occasional traffic is 1/2 mile away. The surrounding area has a beautiful lawn and 3 phenomenal gardens. Previous electric wiring still in place, just disconnected at pole... Power company said they would replace transformer and reconnect line if asked to do so.

Other buildings included: the homestead has a 34x60 grade A dairy barn, SS cooling tank with newer calfing hut addition, 14x50 silo, 3000 bushel grain bin, older 32x60 barn used for livestock, impressive Amish built 45x100 machine shed with 14' high walls and 1/2 cemented floor, a smaller 34x54 machine shed perfect for a shop and an older 3 stall detached garage.

Close to downtown Eagle Bend: Only two miles away from gas stations, the post office, NAPA, TrueValue Hardware, public library, museum, fire & rescue.
