boat type: houseboat
propulsion type: power
length overall (LOA): 40
1976 KingsCraft houseboat ALL aluminum hull and cabin. Aluminum is lightweight, doesn't rust and is very srong in this thickness. This boat was designed to be a cruising type boat with a nice V hull. The engines are Ford V-8s, 225 HP each. Engines will run. The boat has been used as a floating cabin for the past several years. The interior needs some updating, but usable as is. The bathroom has a tub/shower good size vanity and toilet with a separate holding tank. Galley has a newer propane stove/oven, an apartment size refrigerator that is electric only. Water heater is 20 gallons and there is a whole house type water filter on board. There is a on board water tank for fresh water and the option to hook up to water from the dock. Newer sleeper sofa in the front salon. Rear state room is a full bed with storage below. The dinette seats 4 comfortably. Nice Weber grill included. Rooftop A/C unit needs recharging or replacement. Carpet on inside and out needs replacement. Very nice canopy on aft deck. Slip rental is paid for the season. There is a trailer that is used soley for launching and storage, not road worthy. The boat is 40' with a 12' beam. This has been my parents boat for the last 35+ years and I'm very familiar with it. Very motivated seller. $12,000 OBO. If it's listed, it's available all questions to availabilty will be ignored. It is able to be seen out of the water until May. Launch and slip fees included.
UPDATE, previous buyer backed out after starting renovation. A lot of the hard work has been done and can be finished how you want.
Cabin in the woods vs cabin on the water? No lawn to mow every time you show up. No property taxes. Fish right from your deck.
I have been told boats manufactured prior to 1981 are not insurable. The marina that it's in requires liability coverage. At this time it would need to go elsewhere in 2025.
